The cooperation between Russia and India has deep roots. It is based on a solid founda-tion of the Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries (1971), and other important documents. In spite of the problems emerged in the bilateral relations after the USSR split , both countries many times confirmed their significance in various spheres, including international affairs. It was manifested at the Russia–India summit in Delhi (October 2018). All facts prove that cooperation between the countries will be developing further in the years to come.
