The article discusses the fundamental functions, methods, forms of art pedagogy, the importance of the main means of art pedagogy in the development of creative abilities, which children with disabilities possess. Various methods of visual art therapy developed by A.I. Kopytin and actively used in art pedagogy are considered in a detailed way.
