V.A. Somov, G.V. Egorov THE AUTHORITY AND THE PEOPLE IN THE TURNING POINT OF THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION OF 1917 (BASED ON DIARIES OF V.I. VERNADSKY)

The article discusses the dynamics of the views of V.I. Vernadsky. Based on the study of his diaries, a conclusion is formulated about the decisive influence of the October 1917 revolution on the scientist’s worldview. Practice demonstrated the strength of the new government. As a scientist, Vernadsky was forced to admit the fallacy of his early ideas about the role of the people in the political life of the country.
