The article shows the diversity of relations between of the age and gender composition of the rural population at the micro level on the basis of a rare for historical and demographic studies as a source of reports of rural councils of two regions in the 2010s. The authors prove their acceptability to obtain correct results by comparing primary sources with regional data. Reports of rural councils especially important to explain the stability or decline of individual rural settlements.
