Aksenova G.V., Kudryashova A.A. The significance of the family of the artist A.D. Kishenko (1851-1895) in the history of the Voronezh province

Based on the biographical research metho, developed by a native of Ranenburg, Professor N.A. Rybnikov, the article for the first time analyzes the activities of two representatives of the Kivshenko family, who left a significant mark on the history of the Voronezh land. The significance of the stay of the artist A.D. Kivshenko – “singer of Russian hunting” – for his work and for the development of the animalistic genre in Russian painting. The importance of N.D. Kivshenko in the organization of public education in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh region. For the most complete disclosure of the topic, for the first time, sources of personal origin from the funds of the Department of Manuscripts of the Russian State Library and the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art are involved. For the first time, a fragment of the Diary of N.D. Kivshenko is published,  which was not included in all previous editions.
