The article is devoted to the activities of Princess Tatyana Mikhailovna, one of the active supporters of the disgraced Patriarch Nikon. The reassessment of the role and place of the church in the life of modern Russian society determines the interest and relevance of studying the history of the relationship between the patriarch and the royal family during the formation of an absolute monarchy in Russia. The purpose of this study is to trace the participation of Princess Tatyana Mikhailovna in the fate of the deposed Patriarch Nikon and his subsequent rehabilitation, based on a set of historical sources, primarily archival documents that previously have not attracted much researchers’ attention. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the study by the author of a set of surviving sources, which made it possible to clarify a number of little-known facts related to the life and social activities of Princess Tatyana Mikhailovna.
