E.V. Kuzmina THE PROBLEMS OF THE CONTENT OF SCHOOL HISTORICAL EDUCATION IN THE WORKS OF RUSSIAN HISTORIANS IN THE 60-s OF THE XIX CENTURY


The article deals with the participation of Russian historians in the discussion of the problems of the content of school historical education during the reforms of the 60s of the XIX century. The contribution of S. M. Soloviev, M. M. Stasyulevich, V. Y. Shulgin in the discussion of the question of the relationship between history as a science and a school subject was shown. Scientists advocated for a structurally holistic systematic course of history in the school, built in accordance with the logic of science, talked about the need to introduce its content of historical sources, offered textbooks, which became the first experience of school historical chrestomathy. Thus, the foundations for the further development of the principle of scientific content of school historical education were laid.
