This article describes the measures to ensure the safety of Nicholas II and his family members during a visit to Belgorod in December 1911. The analysis of the activities of officials responsible for taking measures to protect the Highest persons was carried out, the security, police and military structures involved in solving the tasks were identified, a detailed description of the security system of the station, the streets along which the royal family followed, and the Holy Trinity Monastery, where the divine service was held in the Highest presence. The author comes to the conclusion that, despite careful preparation, people who wanted to submit petitions to the tsar were repeatedly allowed to break throughю This fact serves as evidence of the imperfection of the Nicholas II security system on the routes of passage and in places of temporary stay.
