Abstract
The authors examine cultural volunteerism as a significant resource for the sociocultural socialization of youth in the context of the institutionalization of the volunteer movement in the Russian Federation. The social significance and relevance of the topic stem from the pressing need for spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of citizens amidst growing geopolitical tension. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is based on principles of the sociology of culture, the theory of social practices, the concept of social and cultural capital, and the provisions of the Development Strategy of the All-Russian Public Volunteer Movement in the Sphere of Culture “Volunteers of Culture” until 2030. The regional experience of the Volgograd Region is analyzed, revealing the institutional mechanisms for the movement’s development, forms of cultural practices, and their impact on youth value orientations. It is concluded that cultural volunteering serves as a sustainable mechanism for transmitting cultural norms, shaping civic identity, and accumulating social capital.
