The article deals with the problem of scientific adaptation of Russian emigrant scientists in Czechoslovakia and France. It was noted that being included in the conditions of life and scientific work in another country is determined both by objective and subjective factors: the policy of the host country authorities towards immigrants, as well as the psychological characteristics of the scientist’s individuality. Running the campaign of “Russian action” to help Russian emigrants in Czechoslovakia, the creation of special schools for the Russian scientists, inviting Russian scientists to cooperate in the traditional educational institutions (such as Charles University, Sorbonne) contributed to the consolidation of Russian and foreign scientists and internationalization of scientific knowledge.
