The purpose of the article is to characterize the main ideas of the pedagogical school of K.A. Moskalenko (a combined lesson, commenting, per-lesson grading, preparatory tasks, 40-minute lessons, 5-day school week); N.N. Kuzmin (studying the professional education his-tory, female education, the history of Russian gymnasiums); S.A. Shmakov (the concept of organizing free-time activities, summer and winter rest for children, camp-counselors schools); O.A. Kazansky (clubs, pedagogical workshop, experimental platform, art lessons, young teachers’ school, the author’s seminar “The school of communication”, creative peda-gogics laboratory.) Pedagogical heritage of K.A. Moskalenko, N.N. Kuzmin, S.A. Shmakov and O.A. Kazansky is a unique phenomenon which influenced further development of Lipetsk pedagogical school.
