The article provides a theoretical and methodological analysis of the concepts of “artistic creativity”and” socio-cultural education”. The article shows the importance of socio-cultural education (as a key concept) for creating a special environment of an innovative type of University, focused on creating a creative product.
The positions of relevance are justified, contradictions, object, and subject of the work are formulated. A model of socio-cultural education of students by means of artistic creativity, and its components (target, content, technology, evaluation) is proposed. The author’s elective courses were developed and tested: “Artistic creativity and culture of the world”, “Creativity and the world of discoveries”, “Artistic creativity from history to modernity”, “The role of artistic creativity in personal development”, the implementation of which was based on dialogue and collective forms of work.
The article shows the prerequisites for the selection of socio-cultural education as an object of work, taking into account the regulatory documents and requirements of the new generation of federal state educational standards. The role of socio-cultural education in the sustainable development and high stability of Russian society, in the development and replenishment of intellectual resources of the state is shown.
