Kazakova O.Yu., Korolev A.M. Interdisciplinary study of marginalia in school history textbooks of the 19th – early 21st centuries

The article is devoted to the study of marginalia – the owner’s marks of students in history textbooks. The object of the study is textbooks of General and Russian history of the 19th -21st  centuries, and the subject is students’ handwritten notes in them. The relevance of the study is due to the final development of a unified school history textbook, and marginalia can be considered as valuable feedback, the contribution of its users. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a special research of original student marginalia and an integrated approach to their study from the point of view of didactics, age psychology, reader studies, the history of everyday life, graphology. Interdisciplinary analysis of marginalia revealed their target and functional significance in the study of history, the peculiarities of the pupil’s work with a textbook. Marginalia of school textbooks are considered in a historical retrospective. Based on the results of the study, recommendations were given to optimize the methodological apparatus of the modern school textbook of history.
