The article provides a scientific and methodological substantiation of the concepts of “educational and professional motivation” in relation to its actualization in the conditions of a military training center. The results of experimental work on testing the system of formation of educational and professional motivation of future reserve officers based on the author’s structural and functional model are presented. According to the results of the study, it was revealed that the system of formation of educational and professional motivation used in the educational process of military training of future reserve officers, based on a set of pedagogical technologies used in the educational process, made it possible to increase the level of formation of educational and professional motivation by gradual formation of motivational components that make up its structure and content. The control diagnostics carried out during the experiments, which showed the positive dynamics of the formation of educational and professional motivation, and the repeatability of the results proved the effectiveness of the proposed structural and functional model.
