The aim of the article is to consider the ways of using museum and educational activities to foster patriotism among the younger generation, namely students of Russian universities. The study examines ways of organizing volunteer and project activities aimed at promoting military-historical knowledge among young people. The focus is on the «Repeat Witness» project, which provides opportunities for participants to meet with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and pass on their memories to the next generation, continuing the historical connection between them. As forms of work, project participants are invited to prepare life stories of eyewitnesses of historical events according to a certain scheme, from childhood to the present day, and use visual materials to present them. The use of didactic methods is considered: evoking an emotional response, conveying historical knowledge and stimulating actions such as retelling, writing or discussing life stories.
