Abstract

The development of mathematical education and improving the level of mathematical knowledge of students should become the most important priority in the activities of general education organizations. The article defines the priorities and objectives of the development of mathematical education in the Moscow region. The process of mathematical education development in educational institutions of the Moscow region is considered, achievements and results are evaluated. The stages of development in the region of a network of educational institutions providing advanced mathematical training are studied. Currently, Russian scientists, specialists of the Russian education system and international experts note a decrease in the level of mathematical education among Russian schoolchildren, as well as the ability to apply mathematical knowledge in practice. In many regions of the country, the problem of insufficient motivation of schoolchildren to study mathematics and the problem of subject deficits persists. The purpose of the article is to study the state of mathematical education at the level of basic and secondary general education, to determine the potential impact of the new regional educational project «Mathematical classes of the Moscow region» on improving the quality and results of mathematical education. The main research methods are a comparative analysis of statistical data obtained from the results of the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics, the advanced study in mathematics and the DDR in mathematics in the Moscow region in the period 2021-2025.; analysis of the results of the Moscow Region regional project «Mathematical classes of the Moscow region», aimed at developing and improving the quality of mathematical education. The development of mathematical education in the general education system of the Moscow region as a whole is at a fairly high level. The conducted research allowed us to identify the main results and effects achieved so far in the implementation of the Moscow Region regional project «Mathematical classes of the Moscow region». Based on statistical data conclusions are drawn about the main risks for the regional education system in the development of mathematical education, as well as the presence of subject deficits among students in the field of mathematics.
