WolframAlpha tool is in the focus of attention in this article. The usage of this tool in the course of teaching probability theory enable teachers to realize applied orientation of training, to bring students’ educational and informative activities closer to future professional activity in the conditions of informatization of economic researches. The paper also represents substantial and methodical features of content of mathematical training of student, seeking bachelor degree in economics. These features are presented at the level of problems of identification of probability of a random variable entering a given interval. It is shown that the use of WolframAlpha tool in practice of teaching applied mathematical disciplines allows to organize educational cognitive activity of students more rationally, to focus attention on development of the innovative components of professional competence, connected with decision-making in the conditions of risk and uncertainty. The use of WolframAlpha while teaching how to solve problems of identification of probability of a random variable entering a given interval, allows to form ideas about potential of new tools, used to study social and economic situations, which are characterized by laws of distribution with various parameters.
