Boguslavsky M.V. Modern school textbook as a predictor of success in students’ mastering the educational program

The article presents a description of the process of developing the scientific foundations for creating ” the modern textbook” in Russian pedagogy in the late 20th – early 21st century. The socio-educational factors that necessitated the creation of the concept of a modern text-
book are analyzed. The methodological and didactic approaches are analysied, on the basis of which the concept of “the modern textbook” was formed. The structural components of the concept of the modern textbook, presented in the domestic pedagogy of the period under
review, are presented.
