Scientific article is devoted to introduction of the digital educational environment in the system of secondary education. The subject of the article is the digital educational environment as a key element of modern educational environment. The object of the research is the usage of such means in a secondary school of general education. The authors of the article use the methodological approach which includes the theoretical analysis of literature, research reports and concrete cases of practical usage of the digital environment in educational process of Lipetsk secondary school of general education №48 . The novelty of the research manifests itself in a complex research of academic achievement dynamics and in detailed description of educational system adaptation to the introduction of digital technologies on the basis of a practical experience of a concrete school. The results of the research demonstrate a positive effect of the digital environment introduction. At the same time the article mentions that its effective implementation requires thorough planning, special training of the teachers, selection of suitable educational platforms, equipment and regulation. The digital educational environment is not a substitute but an important addition to traditional methods of teaching, which enriches the educational environment and enhance its quality in accordance with modern educational standards.
